I discovered this answering a reply to Tyler's post about the Lambo-racing Flanker. Even I had to do a double-take and let that sink in a good while after I posted that.

Topshot's from the creatively-named !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! : the weird one in the weird puke-yellow paint (actually anti-corrosion primer) is a prototype bomber version for launching off of aircraft carriers, and the one in the blue-pattern camouflage is an Su-34 "Fullback," the land-loving Russian Air Force equivalent. The Su-34 is analogous to the F-15E Strike Eagle (or "Mud Hen") and even though they're regarded as "tactical bombers" some people regard them as being true "heavy bombers" based on the relative warload they can carry (tons and tons of bombs, literally) and their sophisticated electronics packages and raw speed giving them the ability to attack strategic targets of interest deep within enemy territory.

Given how they're as big as a B-17...yeah, I'll roll with that.

The Su-30 is more akin to the Mud Hen than the Su-34 is.

I can't agree with that. The Su-30 (especially the Su-30MKI) is more along the lines of an operational design based on the F-15 STOL/MTD or F-15 ACTIVE research planes.

The Su-34 is definitely closer to the F-15E, or maybe even the F-15SE (though without the stealth element).

I'm talking a VVS operated Su-30, not an export model. I'm not bringing TVC or canards into this. In terms of ordinance capable of being carried, and maximum takeoff weight, the F-15E and an Su-30SM are much more similar.

Again, I can't agree.

The VVS currently operates 14 Su-30M2s (based on the MKK ) and 18 Su-30SMs (based on the MKI). The M2 can carry eight tons of mixed AAMs and LGBs, and the SM nine tons of mixed AAMs, LGBs, and PGMs. Both of those numbers are more in line with the F-15C than the F-15E, which can carry almost four tons more munitions and/or fuel.
